whatupalbany: Not going to lie to you, winter in Albany isn’t my favorite. However, the cold weather just got a bit more exciting!  The Empire State Plaza Ice Rink will open for the first time since 2007! Supposedly, they had to shut it down due to budget cuts. It will open again January 2012 and will hopefully stay open until the end of the winter season. The rink will be open during the afternoon and evening hours, 7 days a week, and skating will be FREE! Awesome Awesome Awesome! Can you tell I am excited about this?  OK OK OK. I didn’t know this existed. Sign me up!!
